I enjoy simple things: solitude, cheap sheet cake, and sunlight. I also believe that white is, in fact, a color. Bring me fresh flowers and we can be friends.

A Bach Party and the Long Island Sound

I've lived in the tri state area for all of my life and I had never heard of the Long Island Sound until this weekend.  Long Island has never been even close to being somewhere that sounds pleasant to me, but I was suprisingly proven wrong.

We spent this past weekend in Cutchogue, NY for Alicia's bachelorette party.  I was pleasantly surprised by the quaint charm, and thoroughly enjoyed myself!

{Cutchogue, NY}

Cutchogue is a cute little resort town on Long Island filled with beaches, antique shops, and most importantly, wineries.  Albert Einstein once called Little Peconic Bay in Cutchogue "the most beautiful sailing ground I ever experienced" after he spent the summers on 1938 and 1939 in a rented cottage on Nassau Point (where we stayed!). Yeah, I can use Wikipedia like a pro.

The weekend was relaxing and hilarious, as any weekend would be when you mix weddings, happy people, and wine.

I only retained one piece of information about wine- it can be fermented in oak or in steel; I like both.
Surprise, surprise.

One bit of information at a time, I'll get there.
